On Tuesday, March 14 our Admin Team and Executive Board met at Sulphur Springs BC in Pine Bluff. Pictures of the meeting posted below.
The members at Sulphur Springs did a very commendable job of hosting the meeting, providing both breakfast items as well as a soup lunch that was very tasty. The desserts were enjoyed by everyone who stayed for the meal.
Bro Paul Williams, Pastor of FBC White Hall and Moderator of the Association presided, welcoming everyone to the meeting.
Bryan Bolton, Harmony Music Leader and Minister of Music at FBC Pine Bluff led the group in three worship songs: "Have Faith in God," "God will make a way", and "It is well with my soul."
Tommy Carter, HBA Treasurer reported to the Executive Board and his report was accepted.
Debra Burchfield gave an update on the acquisition of the hospital property and told the group she was waiting on a revised description of the property. She challenged the Exec Board to return home, pray for their involvement in the down payment. She told of a client who needed living quarters as well as a challenge from the "ArkansasGives.Org." The Golf Fore Life Tournament is scheduled for April 22. Needed are players, sponsors and volunteers. The Baby Bottle Offering will be May 14 through June 18. The bottles will be available for pick up at the April 11 Exec Board meeting at Shannon Road BC. Also she reported the Capitol Campaign materials were being developed. The 2017 Annual Fundraising Banquet will be on November 13, 14, 16.
Harvey Hibner, Inner City Director and Pastor of Sulphur Springs BC gave an update on the new trailer made available to the StoneBridge Ministry. It is fully equipped with two generators, a cooker and various supplies. He reported he was looking at a van to use to pull the trailer. He also gave a report on the budget funds needed and the HBA Executive Board took action to help.
Associational Missionary Mike Manning gave his report to the HBA Exec Board. He also gave an update on his granddaugher as well as Leslie, his wife and some physical exams she had completed.
These are some of the HBA Executive Board members present. A new pastor present was the Senior Pastor of Family Church, Stephen Harrison.
